This has been one of the longest, hottest and driest summers I can recall.
Even during the supposed wet season, my phone continued to show big balls of sun, day after day after day. And surprisingly, the forecast was correct.
Cue autumn and the beautiful dry, cooler days of March. One of the most reliable months for an outdoor portrait sessions.
Undeterred by the black storm clouds that were fast closing in on us accompanied by low rolls of thunder, the Armstrong family braved the elements and met me in Queens Park. Even Emma, the family dog, joined in the fun and despite having only 25 minutes to shoot (including a rather rainy finale as we made our way back to the car!), their images show the personality, love and connection of this family.
I can’t wait to see which of their favourite images will take pride of place up on the wall of their family home.
