I'm not going to lie - when the alarm goes off at 4.15am on a winters' morning, I question why I suggest sunrise shoots to my couples.
On this particular morning (and after tripping over my cats countless times), I hopped in the car and drove to a spot that has captured my imagination for some time, secluded amongst the tall pines of Beerburrum.
Jess and Josh drove up, we drowsily exchanged greetings and laughed about the ungodly hour of day as the heaters blasted from our cars, before turning down a dirt road to our destination.
As I was setting up, they commented on how nerves were at play and that this was their first professional shoot together.
Looking through their images, you would hardly know it. To me, they were a couple of pros who 100% rocked their shoot by virtue of not taking things too seriously and simply embracing each other and the amazing location surrounding them.
Jess, Josh - thanks for an amazing morning that made me smile all the way home and forget the fact that I had already been up for 4 hours by 8.30am...
