Emma + Ash | New Farm Wedding
With the exception of being a restaurant critic or travel blogger, I can’t think of a better job than the one I do right now. Sure, like any job, work is work and for me this equates to long unsocial hours and far too much time alone in the car where I can be found thinking - there has to be an easier way to make a living?
And truth be told, there probably is.
But there are few alternatives I can think of that give me the chance to come into contact with so many great people. To not only hear the most wonderful stories about love, but see it, experience it and capture it to then play it back to people at a later stage.
Emma and Ash had an intimate wedding in Brisbane city. Throughout the day, stories were exchanged by friends and family that confirmed my sneaky suspicion that this couple were in fact, two of the kindest people you could hope to meet. More than that though - in hearing these stories from others, I also very quickly realised that those around Emma and Ash were just as fantastic.
Later that evening - sore feet, calloused hands and empty belly - I took my seat around the corner from reception and caught my breath. No sooner had I sat down, a family member approached me, pointed to a seat at the table and explained that this had been set for me to join in the meal. Over bowls of pasta, I got to hear more stories of Emma and Ash, feel the love that those lucky enough to celebrate with them had for this couple and at the close of the evening, left with a full belly and a full heart.
And it’s moments like this - made by people like Emma, Ash and their incredible family and friends - that make this job the winner-winner-chicken-dinner of all time.
Emma and Ash - I’ve adored you both from the first time I met you and I feel so lucky that we have crossed paths. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for having me be a part of your day - it really was, one of the best.
This is your story xx
A massive thank you again to all my amazing couples who have had me along to capture their love story.
